About The Writing Life

From four Maryland poets to a pair of Nobel Laureates - Saul Bellow and Seamus Heaney - more than sixty poets and writers have appeared on HoCoPoLitSo's Cable TV series since 1986. The half hour shows are hosted by well known Baltimore-Washington writers, and guests range from interesting newer writers to some of the most distinguished names in contemporary letters.

The Writing Life has been honored by the National Hometown Video Festival and the BRAVO networks "Art's for Change" Award. It has won funding from the Maryland Humanitites Council, the National Endowment for the Arts, The Columbia Foundation, The Columbia Festival of the Arts, and The Rouse Company Foundation.
